Yesterday we released two brand spanking new patterns- Elliot & Janie! These patterns are perfect for our impending spring and the tail end of the “sprinter” season. If you’re unfamiliar with sprinter, it’s that weird place between winter and spring where no one knows what to wear and you’re freezing in the am and sweating in the pm.

Before we get into all the options that Elliot & Janie have to offer- let’s talk about one more fab addition to PSCo! Did you know that we are now adding videos to all our patterns? We are always looking for ways to add more value to your experience with PSCo and one thing we noticed that was requested over and over again are videos! If you haven’t already, you can subscribe to the Petite Stitchery & Co YouTube Channel and checkout the videos for Elliot & Janie, as well as some others.

Ok, so now for the good stuff.

Meet Elliot!

First up, let’s talk about the Elliot Romper & Dress. This fun and casual romper and dress is perfect for lounging, running errands, hanging out- basically all the things! Let’s talk about some of the features Elliot has to offer.

I love a good romper- and the romper version of Elliot is no exception! First, let’s take a look at the fit. This romper is a slim fit through the body and hip, and tapers toward the ankle. The low neckline and sides pair perfectly with the cut of the back!

The edges of your romper are cleanly finished with knit binding. If you’re new to binding, don’t worry- there is a video to help you out as well as a FOE (fold over elastic) option. You can check out the video right HERE.

The romper comes in two lengths- pant and capri. For the adult version you can choose between regular and tall length. In the baby version, we have added an optional snap placket for easy diaper changes! You can choose to finish your hem with a traditional hem or a rolled cuff for a fun casual look!

If rompers aren’t your thing, the dress option of Elliot has you covered! This dress is totes comfy and features the same gorgeous neckline and back as the romper version. The kids and adults version is available in two lengths- knee and midi. The knee length will hit just below the knee cap and the midi will hit mid calf. The baby version has a knee length dress option. Add an optional slit and get ready to fall in love with the dress version of the Elliot!

One of my favorite features of Elliot are the ahhhhhhmazing slant pockets! The are so sleek and allow for some amazing colorblocking. Elliot also features a more traditional patch style pocket but these slant pockets are where it’s at!

We have made layering with Elliot easy by including options for a bandeau or cami! These both come in mini and modest crop options. All sizes feature a lining option and the adult pattern features a shelf bra with cup sizes from B-DD.

Now that we have talked about all the things Elliot has to offer, let’s talk about Janie!

Meet Janie!

Aside from style, if there is one thing Janie has plenty of- it’s options! You can choose from several neckline, sleeve, top and skirt options- or choose to make your items separates or a dress. So let’s get into it!

First, let’s talk about the top options for Janie. This colorblocked option is STUNNING. Seriously, it’s amazing! It creates just the right amount of visual interest and is perfect for using up those small scraps! If colorblocking is not your thing- you can choose the solid front option.

Janie also has several different sleeve options. Add a cuff or a hem to your short sleeve and you can choose from several different long sleeve options. There is a simple, cuffed long sleeve or a beautiful and chic bishop sleeve option.

You can also choose between a crew neck or boat neck option. The crew neck if finished with a band and the boat neck is finished cleanly with a facing. You can also choose between an elastic or regular hemline for your top!

Once you have selected your favorite top option (but who can really choose a favorite, am I right?), you can mash that with your favorite skirt (those options are covered below), and make a stunning dress. There are so many mix and match options that it will be easy to find the perfect look for you!

Now let’s talk about this skirt! Janie has several skirt options with two different fits. You can choose from a pencil skirt in mini, knee, or midi length. Check out that high slit! Meow! If pencils aren’t your favorite, you can choose fab curved hem skirt that has a bit more easy. Also it has pockets! Check out the cute pocket detail on these Janie Skirts! For help with the pockets or the curved hem facing- check out our YouTube channel HERE.

Janie comes with a fun little add on too- these perfect little bike shorts are sure to be a staple for your summer sews. These can be worn underneath the skirt options or any of your spring dresses to prevent the dreaded summer chafing. The bike shorts feature a contour waistband and both short and long lengths.

Have you grabbed your copies yet?

If you haven’t, don’t worry- they will be on sale for a bit longer!
