Today I am going to share with you a little bit about our process from sketch to design, then on to final product. Laura, Ashley, and I had pattern ideas in our head that we needed to transform and tweak to create the patterns you will soon be able to purchase. Let me just say that this is not an overnight project! I can also tell you however that it is SO MUCH FUN!!! The first thing that we did was sketch out all our ideas. Then I combined them into one large collection sketch. Say hello to our Fall 16 Collection…
One of the concepts that we want to stress with our collections is that the patterns within it, were created with the intent to match. We want you to walk away with a closet fun of handmade clothing that can mix and match and last all season long! So once we had our pattern concepts ready we got to play. Remember those blocks we had as kids where you can change the heads, bodies, and legs to make crazy new combinations. I loved making the crocodile head, with a hippo body in a tutu and giraffe legs! This is what we hope your children will do with the clothes that you make for them. We want them to enjoy wearing the clothes as much as you enjoyed making them, as much as we enjoy creating them!!! Let me show you how it works.
I took three of our new patterns to make one fantastic & stylish outfit! I used the Aspen Skirt, the Sapphire Layering Tee, and the Rosemary Crop Sweater! Mesh them all together and you have one happy little lady!
We can’t wait to see the combinations that you are able to create with our new collection. We are delighted to present our collection to you in Maureen Cracknell’s newest line for Art Gallery fabrics, Nightfall. It is whimsical, vibrant, and full of movement. We are so honored, grateful, and thrilled to have this collection be sponsored by Art Gallery Fabrics. You can find many of these prints at Phat Quarter Fabrics and if you join our group you will even have the chance to win some!
