By now you have seen Belle (the racerback dress) and Adelyn (the pointed hem dress)! These two dress have fabulously unique hems! They bring a creative touch, to a quick sew!
One of my favorite things about these two patterns is that they were made with the ability to mash with ease! You do not have to be an expert seamstress to be able to mash these patterns! Why mash? Well, maybe you are in one of those states that actually has cold weather? I have heard such a thing exists, but in Houston, TX it is like talk of unicorns…. Ok, back to why you mash! If you love the hem of Belle, but you need sleeves, all you have to do is mash!
Follow these easy instructions below to quickly and easily mash these two new patterns! We are going to keep this sweet and simple. Two steps is all it takes to create something new! You will use this tutorial during the cutting phase of your project. Start here to cut, then follow the pattern tutorial that corresponds to your bodice.
Step 1: Print and cut the bodice of your choice. Lay that on the fabric. Place the skirt of your choice over the bodice matching the bottom of the armscye at the side seam. Cut around the bodice pattern piece (shown in red) stopping at the armscye.
Step 2: Starting at the armscye, cut around the skirt pattern piece (shown in red). Use the same method for the back of the dress.
Easy enough right? Let me see what you create using these 2 new patterns! Your creation may even be featured on our site!
