My all time favorite cuff is a thumb hole cuff! It is trendy, comfortable and keeps my hands warm (in the Texas heat lol)!
This cuff can be added to ANY long sleeve garment, but for this blog I am showing you how to add it to the NEW Rose Pull Over Hoodie!
Let’s get right to it! If you are making a Rose pull over hoodie, you will skip the instructions on how to hem the sleeves in Step 17 and follow below to add the cuffs!!
Ok! First things first, you need to grab your copy of the Thumb Cuff Tutorial! This will guide you through EXACTLY how to make the cuff! It really isn’t tricky! It comes with a video tutorial link to help you too! You can find the code to snag the pattern for FREE in the pinned post in our Fan Group!!
Now let’s add those cuffs to your Rose Pull Over!!
Get to Step 17 for the sleeves of your Rose and you will….
Step 1: Gather the raw edge of your sleeve.
Step 2: Pin the completed cuff in halves starting with the seam. Pin the raw edges of the sleeves in halves starting with the seam.
Step 3: Place the sleeve inside the cuff matching raw edges right sides together. Starting at the seam match the pins together, pinning the cuff to the sleeve as you go. Sew with a zig zag stitch or serge to finish the seam. Repeat with remaining sleeve and cuff.
DONE!! It was that simple!! Now the Rose pattern just got that much better!! I give it TWO thumbs up 😉
